Permits
All waste collectors in Ireland must have a valid waste collection permit to operate legally.
All waste collectors in Ireland must have a valid waste collection permit to operate legally. A National Waste Collection Permit Office (NWCPO) was established in 2012 and its role is to accept, process and review all Waste Collection Permit applications for all Waste Management Regions in the Republic of Ireland.
The NWCPO website features a list of local waste collectors and specifies the council areas in which they are permitted to collect, the waste types they are permitted to collect and the company’s registered contact details. You can search for collectors by both the type of waste and the collection area relevant to you.
