What?
Coffee pods are typically made of plastic or aluminum. Some may also be made of compostable materials such as paper or plant-based materials. The plastic, paper or aluminum material is filled with ground coffee and sealed before being put into a single-serve coffee machine.
Where?
For coffee pods made from plastic or aluminium, empty out the coffee grinds and place them in the food waste recycling bin. The capsule part, once clean and dry can be placed in the recycling bin.
Used compostable coffee pods and can be placed in the food waste recycling bin.
