Many opticians take back unwanted or damaged spectacles / Glasses for refurbishment and use by charities. Some charities also accept glasses for distribution to developing countries.
If disposing at home, they should be placed in the general waste bin.
Old glasses should not be placed in your recycling bin as they are made of different, practically inseparable, materials.
